About Chhattisgarh Bhoogol Parishad
Chhattisgarh Bhoogol Parishad is an academic society dedicated to the advancement of geographical sciences in the state of Chhattisgarh. The Parishad serves as a central academic platform for geography educators, researchers, and students, facilitating the exchange of knowledge, research findings, and pedagogical innovations. Through interdisciplinary engagement and scholarly activities, the Parishad seeks to enhance geographical understanding relevant to regional and national development.

Background & Formation
The Chhattisgarh Bhoogol Parishad was formed with the objective of providing a common academic platform for geography teachers, researchers and scholars of Chhattisgarh. The organisation encourages academic interaction, knowledge sharing and collaborative research activities.
The Chhattisgarh Bhoogol Parishad was established on 15th of November 2014, under the patronship of Dr. H.S. Gupta (Former H.O.D of School of Study in Geography Department, Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University, Raipur C.G.)
Dr. J.P. Seohare, Principal, Govt. Bilasa Girls P.G. College, Bilaspur was the first acting President of Chhattisgarh Bhoogol Parishad, later on Dr. T.L. Verma, H.O.D of Geography Department Govt. Chhattisgarh College, Raipur was the second President of Chhattisgarh Bhoogol Parishad.
At present – Dr. D.D Kashyap, Principal, Govt. Mahamaya P.G. College, Ratanpur, is the President of the Chhattisgarh Bhoogol Parishad.

Objectives of the Organisation
To promote the study of Geography as a subject and to organize related academic and research activities.
To publish research journals and scholarly publications related to Geography.
To encourage creative writing, original research, and critical studies in the subject of Geography.
To provide guidance and support material (notes, reference material, etc.) for students appearing in competitive and other examinations.
To organize national and international seminars, conferences, and workshops related to Geography.
To organize training programs and academic workshops.
To arrange lectures by subject experts from time to time in various colleges and institutions.
To cooperate in Geography teaching and learning at school and college levels through training programs, lectures, and other academic activities.
To collaborate with social organizations and institutions for academic and social development.
To organize competitions, exhibitions, and academic activities (such as essay writing, debates, quizzes, etc.) for college students.
